Build targeted, in-demand skills without interrupting your career. AIHS short courses are designed for practising health professionals, students, and health sector staff who need focused, practical learning — fast. Courses run from one week to six months, with blended and in-person delivery options. Each course is CPD-accredited and earns you verified credits towards professional licence renewal with Uganda's Allied Health Professionals Council, Nurses and Midwives Council, and Pharmacy Council. Leave with a certificate, CPD points, and skills you can apply immediately.
Africa's health systems need a workforce that keeps learning — but most CPD options are expensive, inaccessible, or disconnected from frontline realities. AIHS short courses close that gap with practical, affordable, system-aligned training built around what health workers in Uganda and across the region actually need.
Apply updated clinical, technical, or public health skills directly within their practice setting and meet mandatory CPD requirements for professional licence renewal.
Gain a clear pathway into AIHS diploma, higher diploma, and postgraduate programmes.
Short intensives (1–2 weeks): full-time, face-to-face. Emergency skills, safe phlebotomy, BLS, infection prevention and control.
Blended courses (4–12 weeks): online theory plus supervised practicum. Community mental health, M&E, adherence counselling, health records.
Extended professional courses (3–6 months): blended with significant supervised practice. Echocardiography, point-of-care ultrasound, regional anaesthesia, occupational health.
All courses conclude with a competency-based assessment. Successful candidates receive a CPD-accredited AIHS Certificate of Completion.
